My 83 Year Old Mother Is Starting To Burn Food

My 83 year old mother is starting to burn food she prepares, and doesn't seem to notice. She also mixes up days of the week. She can take a roast out of the oven, put it on the table, and then go look in the oven for it not knowing where it is. Does she have the early stages of Alzheimer's?
