My 88 year old father will sit up to eat and start eating and within 2 swallows he throws up and then dry heavs. This has been going of for several months. He's lost 15-18 lbs. hes pale and is very tired and un-stable. Hes had the tube down his throat and they also scanned his stomach. Stomach scan was fine. They said when he swallows some of the food may be going down his wind pipe. This has gone on way to long and my mother is beside herself. This mostly happens in the morning, however lately it can happen any time.
