My 9 Year Old Daughter Suddenly Developed 2 Red Spots

My 9 year old daughter suddenly developed 2 red spots directly on her spine about where the bottom of her shoulder blades. They were one over the other about 1 vertebrae apart. Initially the upper one was quarter size with a darker, smoother center oval about 3/8" long by 1/4" wide. The lower spot was about nickel size and was only red no darker, smoother center. After about one hour the redness diminished to about dime size with the remaining darker, smoother center. She has had a cold/sinus infection for 2 days and been taking children's cold medicine for the last two days as well.
