My 9 Years Old Son Have Pain In His Knees And Hands
my son is 9 years old and his ALP test level is 421. He complains of having pain in his knees and hands and sometimes his hands swell and cannot write. All his blood tests came normal except for this.
hi,
ALP levels of ur child is normal only.
U test for any evidence of artritis and do tests specifically for juvenile arthritis, rheumatic arthritis, post viral arthritis.
thanks
‘Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum’
Children and adolescents normally have higher ALP levels than adults because their bones are growing, and ALP is often very high during a growth spurt, which occurs at different ages in boys and girls.During some growth spurts, levels can be as high as 500 IU/L. For this reason, the test is usually not done in children, and abnormal results refer to adults.
