My 92 year old mother has swollen glands that are tender to the touch. She says she feels warm inside but has no temperature. When this happens she also complains of nausea, but I'm not sure if it is related as she has GERD. This has happened several times and then the swelling disappears. She has also complained that the left side of her face hurts along with her left ear. She is hard of hearing and it is worse on that side. She also has tinnitus in that ear. She has been check by a doctor but they don't find anything - usually the symptoms are not present when she is examined.
