Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Dad is 89. He had 2 stents put in in January and had a TAVR in February. His bloodwork is normal, blood pressure good. He has dry macular degeneration in both eyes and his eyesight is getting worse, mostly in the last 6 months. He's been having dizzy spells. He'll just be lying down or sitting and he'll get a dizzy spell. No headache but he says his eye sight gets worse during the spell. We went to his opthamalogist a week ago and doc says he didn't see any neurological problems or noticed anything that indicated TIAs. His internist has no suggestions although my Dad has a CT scheduled on Monday to see if something is up with his brain. He is having a dizzy spell right now and the last severe dizzy spell was May 8th and lasted about 2-3 hrs. He has lesser dizzy spells several times a week for the last 6-9 months. He does drink water (I don't think dehydration is a problem). Any clues to what I should do for him?
