Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Mom is 91 and has an over active bladder. She has seen a urologist and tried Oxybutynin, Desmopressino, and Toviaz, of which none have worked. The urologist prescribed Myrbetriq, but insurance will not cover any of the costs. Mom is afraid to try it because she is very sensitive to all drugs and is unsteady in her walk. Any medication that has dizziness as a side effect will affect her even more. She is on one medication per day and that is 75mcg Synthroid. Is there ANYTHING this poor woman can take for the incontinence that could help her? She never gets a full nights rest as she is up 4-6 times per night.
