My Mother In Law Is New To Taking Insulin And

My Mother in law is new to taking insulin and her dose was upped form 20 units t0 35. As I was injecting her tonight, I must have bent the needle when attaching to pen because her belly was a little wet and our hands smelled of the insulin. I told her to check her sugar in 2 hours and we would have to see if her levels went down. My question is, should I not give her more insulin?
