My brother just had a "widowmaker" heart attack 12 hours ago. He was lucky he got 2 stents in a timely manner. The doctor said he has a very weak heart and other smaller blockages. He's on IV stuff but BP is still high (diastolic) and heart rate in 120's. Something is wrong with his liver (drank heavy years ago, gave up 20+ years ago) but Doctor said it's "secondary" right now but looking at dialysis in future. I was told he has congestive heart failure. He smokes 2 packs a day and doubt he'll stop but he'll "cut down." He will be 61 next week. Is he is trouble? Can he still have issues in the hospital? He flatlined twice in ambulance. I live 2 hrs away. I'm afraid to leave.
