Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My dad is 73 and had a X-ray of his hips and pelvis after hurting his back playing golf. Dr said there was “hardening of the bones” tested prostate level was 5.2. She requested a nuclear bone scan. Does this mean he has cancer? He is otherwise symptom free. He has had a bad back for 10 years. If secondary cancer to prostate would the PSA level not be higher?
