My dad just stood up and gripped his chest, and said my name sounding very scared. I told him to sit down and asked if he had pain down his side at all and blatantly asked if he thought he was having a heart attack. He said "I don't know" but also has never had one, so that doesn't say much. I said I was going to call 911 and he refused, saying to call my mom. As soon as the call went to voicemail he said he was feeling better and that he was okay. Afterward he described that his chest tightened up in a way it never has before. He hasn't had any strenuous activity this morning. Should he go to the emergency room?
