My Dad Was Recently Admitted To The Hospital With A

My dad was recently admitted to the hospital with a GI bleed d/t his Coumadin. They discontinued the Coumadin, but while in the hospital they did not give him his gout medication and he developed gout in his right knee. He was released Sunday with acute gout which seem to be getting slightly better but yesterday his foot was swollen, and now his calf is swollen hard. His foot is cool to the touch and his calf is warm. How can we tell if he has a blood clot? They started him on baby aspirin yesterday. He take metropolol for his a-fib which is why is was on Coumadin.
