My Daughter Had Pressure In Her One Ear The Week

My daughter had pressure in her one ear the week following a cold. She could not hear out of it and it felt "squishy" inside like there was fluid in it. We went to a PA last Thursday and he prescribed Neomycin/PolymyxinB ear drops. She was also advised to take Mucinex & Psuedafed. The pressure has subsided but she still cannot hear and still feels like there is fluid in her ear. A phone call to the PA now that her 7 days is up with the drops and he prescribed 5 mg Prednisone for 5 days. He lowered from his original 40mg because she doesn't function with this amount. (She has taken it for asthma.)
