My Daughter Has A Problem With Her Tonsils Every Couple

My daughter has a problem with her tonsils every couple weeks and is due to have them out on April 26th, however, I took her to her pediatrician 3 days ago for her fever this time around because it has hit 103.8 and she prescribed an antibiotic yet the fever has been going on for 5 days and I am concerned the effects on her other organs. Should I take her to an ENT or back to her pediatrician. The motrin wears off and fever spikes. She's already went through a whole bottle of motrin in 1 month. Are her kidneys going to suffer?
