My Daughter Has Had Molluscum Contagiousum For 8 Months. It

My daughter has had Molluscum contagiousum for 8 months. It started as one spot on her shoulder and then more spread under her arm pit and down her tummy. I took her to the doctor who diagnosed it and said to leave it. However, we are going on a dream holiday in several weeks so after much research, i found molludab online and used that for 2 weeks, it has got rid of some but it is spreading like wildfire! In the last 2 weeks it’s spread to her thighs, bum, backs of her knees, down her arms and us now on feet and hands. In the sunlight, her entire skin looks rough and bumpy. I am at my wits end- surely it shouldn’t spread this rapidly- does she have an immune problem and what can I do to get rid of it??
