Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Daughter Has P450 Isoenzyme Deficiencies Through 2d6, 2c9 And
My daughter has p450 isoenzyme deficiencies through 2d6, 2c9 and 2 c19. She also has thrombocytosis (platelets are 1.5 million) and two clotting mutations on PAI-1 and MTHFR, along with a potentially low risocetin co-factor. The von willebrand panel is being repeated.
She takes a long list of medications that I am running interaction checks on through Web MD. However, one of which I am unable to locate in the system is amitiza. Could you tell me if this is metabolized through any of the pathways cited above with poor metabolism? I am also looking for pathway clearance for baclofen and am wondering about its potential to exacerbate clotting issues. Thank you for any help that you can provide.
