My daughter is 23 no risk factors or history of cancer. She presented when chest pain on inspiration to the walk in clinic and it hurts to cough. Pain 9/10 when coughing. No fever normal blood work. Chest X-ray revealed bilaterally distributed ill defined modular densities in both lungs. No calcification or cavitation. Ct done and emerg doctor and respirologist r perplexed. Started her on levaquin!!! Askedabout I/v drug use re: endocarditis. Zero drug or pot use. Having a follow up xray next week. I think they thought it could be Wegeners but she doesn't have a rash..... What should I do. I want to pay for a private PET scan but my husband wants to wait!!! Does this sound like cancer what about Sarcoidosis. The worst part is I'm a cardiac surgery nurse and have waaaay to much info at my disposal. Please help.
