My Daughter Is 2.5 Years Old And Had Seizures Four

My daughter is 2.5 years old and had seizures four times. First episode was when she was one year old, second in a gap of a month , third when she was one year 11 months and fourth one was on 2 years 6 months. In all the four episodes she was not given medicines on time otherwise when the medicines were given on time we didn't notice such occurrence. all four episodes occurred when she had high temperature and we missed to treat her immediately with a frisium tablet or the paracetamol syrup. Hence my doctor has advised me to take valparin syrup . We took an MRI and EEG and results seems to be normal. Should my daughter take the valparin syrup as I am afraid of its side effect ?
