My Daughter Is About 9 Weeks Pregnant And Has Had

My daughter is about 9 weeks pregnant and has had brown spotting the past couple of weeks. Yesterday, she had a little red blood but is back to brown. No cramping. She had an ultrasound and got a call back saying they think she has a small tear in cervix. I can only find info on cervix tear during birth but what about in first trimester? Thank you.
