Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is currently on a waiting list for an endoscopy . She has just turned five and has had abominal pain for the last year and a half . She had some blood tests to rule out Coeliac and the tests should the antibody but it was at 8.6 and a second test proved inconclusive . As I mentioned she's waiting on an endoscopy to confirm it is that . Tonight I've been awake with her for hours . The last few nights she has been waking with pain but tonight it seems worse . I'm worried it's her appendix . It's always been my worry and gut instinct that she's being misdiagnosed. Her dad when he was younger had the same symptoms and they just thought it was in his head . Turned out he had a rumbling appendix and it eventually came to a head one night and he was rushed in . His sister also suffered with it . My daughter is in a lot of pain tonight . She couldn't get comfortable at all. I gave her some nurofen and eventually got her to sleep for now. They told me before that I would know about it if it was appendix that she would be in a lot of pain . Well tonight I witnessed a lot of pain . It's 4.37am what should I do come morning time?
