My daughter is in pain throughout her whole body. It came about all of a sudden. Doctors cant seem to find what is wrong with her. Her feet and hands are swollen, her neck and shoulders were stiff and hurting. At times she couldn't even pick up her glass of water. She ran a mild fever (< 101) a couple of times over the last 3 weeks. Feet so swollen that she couldn't walk. She is very weak and tired. Not eating much. Feeling better at times when she is given her pain meds (Narco). She was on 800 mg (?) of motrin for swelling, but didn't seem to work. Reduced to 400 when she started feeling nauseous. She has been in the hospital for 2 weeks with no diagnosis. They found Shigella in her stool and treated that with 5 days of antibiotics...without any change to her swelling and pain. Can you help?? She is 27 years of and has 2 kids. She did have a rash on her belly after being around kids at the end of April who she later found out had parvovirus (?). They are testing her for this, but results not back yet. They have run a lot of tests but still no diagnosis. Started her on steroids (20) and this reduced the swelling in her feet, but not in her ankles. She reduced her pain meds and that did work. She was in terrible pain this morning and unable to move anything! HELP!!
