My daughter was given ampicillin for acne. She started having stomach problems. Every Doctor I ask said, no ampicillin is not the cause .It became so severe we made many trips for various treatments. Several uper & LOWER GIs. She was in such constant pain. She was put on steroids which changed my skin little girls weight and appearance, which I was promised it would not. She he'd no lining left in her large & small intestines and esophagus . She was bleeding from those areas. Still told ampicillin was not the cause. On our last visit for one more GI that doctor said "there's your problem! Oh maybe I shouldn't have said that. Discontinue that medication." My baby suffered and still does, because of that medication. It destroyed her health and treatments altered her appearance tremendously. She will suffer the rest of her life because of it. Put her in one of your damn studies. Warn parents. Educate doctors. They don't need to cover for each other and medical institutions. They need to protect and genuinely care for their patients.
