Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter was just seen at a clinic as she had a fever of 100.8 this morning She had been complaining of stomache cramps last week and had a slightly decreased appetite. She vomited on Thursday 2x and then Friday 2x but was BAR and her normal happy self. Had a low grade fever yesterday and then fever again this a.m. My husband took her to a clinic and they said the had "a bit of a crackle in one lung" so Rx Amoxicillin for 10 days. He did not order an x-ray because she "doesn't sound too bad" Now I am worried about aspiration pneumonia. Should I take her elsewhere for an x-ray or is it reasonable to see if the Amoxi helps?
