Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter will be 10 in July. She has always been in the 10 % or less range since birth in both height and weight. Just this year she has gone bellow the curve and so my pediatrician ordered blood tests to check her thyroid. We have no history of thyroid disease in our families. Her results came back as follows. TSH 6.1, Thyroglobulin Antibody 1.8, and Free T4 1.67. She weighs 48.2lbs. Her height is approximately 50.5 in. She has no symptoms of hypothyroidism other than slow growth rate. We just went today to have the CLON/ AEG test where they drew her blood over a 4 her period to test her pituitary gland. I haven't gotten much information from the endocrinologist and was wondering what kind of diagnosis these test results may indicate. Thank you for your time. Heidi
