My dearly beloved husband passed away of what I think was a massive sudden heart attack. We (he) was driving along a 55 mph two lane country state road, put his right hand to his chest, said "honey, something wrong", stiffened up, floored the excellorator, began gurgling, eyes wide open with fear. He had complained just moment earlier that he was feeling a nerve sensation from his right foot up to his shoulder. It happened so very fast, I reacted with adrenalin, grabbed the steering wheel as we were headed off a cliff at 95 miles an hour, was able to straddle him in the drivers seat and eventually slowed the car down enough to slam it in park. I unbuckled his seatbelt, got out of the car, lifted his perfect 6'2" 210 lb. frame out of the car and placed him on the road. Bystanders began to stop and a nurse just happend to be one of those. She began CPR and folks traded off on their efforts at CPR for 35 min. until the ambulance arrived. Another 35 min. back to the emergency room, but during the ride the paramedic said she got a pulse. While in the emergency room, a nurse trainee injected my husbands IV with a double dose of something and he blue lined. Do you think he suffered very long or given this explanation, do you believe he passed relatively quickly, shortly after he put his hand to his chest and began gurgling? Any help would be appreciated as I am having difficulty with the nightmare and just want to assure myself that he didn't suffer too long.....thank you to those who might respond to this message...
