My Doctor Wanted To Give Me Pradaxa For My A

My doctor wanted to give me Pradaxa for my A Fib. Thinks I should be on a blood thinner to prevent clotting. My concern is that I stopped taking 81 MG aspirin about a year ago because I was anemic which is now OK since I stopped aspirin and talking iron tablet daily.
Will taking a blood thinner bring back my old problem?
