Keep an eye on your blood pressure and cholesterol. Try and remain as close to your ideal weight as possible. Eat a healthy well balanced diet (including your 5 a day fruit and vegetables), reduce saturated fat in your diet and try and make sure you do not consume more than 6g of salt per day. It is also vital that you include exercise in your life. Limit alcohol intake and if you smoke, stop!
