My Father Is Constantly Blowing His Nose. How Did He Get This Nose Ulcer ?
My father had a nose bleed for most of the night this week. We took him to the doctor and nose doctor told him he has a ulcer of the nose. He is constantly blowing his nose even though we tell him not to. He often causes his own nose bleeds. At 82 years old, how did father get this nose ulcer ?
Well, ur father is suffering from vestibulitis.
Dont worry at all, first of all consult an Ent surgeon, he will prescribe him an antibiotic, a n analgesic, a topical antibiotic cream.
Also get the RBS done.Take necessary precautions, if report alters. He will be all right.
Regards.
Ulcer in nose is unusual and is he hypertensive? usually nose bleed at this age is secondary to hypertension. first get his BP checked and see whether it is normal or not if it is normal then consult ent surgeon and examined ask him whether this ulcer is malignant or not
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum
Picking, and blowing can be a cause . He has to understand the fact and avoid "teasing" it.
H/o Allergic rhinitis is another reason. Chronic dryness of nose.
Applying calendula ointment will help heal and keep the nasal mucosa moist.
Takecare.
