My father was diagnosed with adult-onset Spinocerebellar Ataxia and was told his Cerebellum is shrinking. He has had increasing problems with neuropathy and mobility over the years, uses a walker now, and has some slurring of speech. Will the Cerebullum continue to shrink? What should he expect in the late stages-will his mobility issues progress to paralysis as the shrinking continues? Will other systems in the body be affected?
