Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My female 14 year old cat has a mass in her abdomen. This was found when I took her in for teeth cleaning and she had lost 2.5 pounds. She had lost 1.5 pounds at previous visit six months ago, but we took no notice. This is a girl that lives to eat. In the last two days she has not eaten or had a bowel movement. She has taken very little fluid. The vet suggests an ultrasound but suspects it's cancer. The ultra sound is $500. This will likely lead to surgery to remove mass. $3000. Then follow up. What ever that means. I am elderly and on a very limited income. What can you suggest?
