My Finger Tips Are Swollen And Pulling Away From The

My finger tips are swollen and pulling away from the fingernail. It is very painful and I can't touch nothing without intense pain. My hand is cold and numb and very swollen to the point I can't use it. I have tried everything I can to fix the problem so that I can function but nothing seems to work. It's hard for me to explain what is going on. You know when you cut your nails to short exposing the quick and it kinda burns, well it's like that but a lot worse. What causes this, is it from touching it or smoking it? And how can I fix it so that it heals where I'm able to use my hand?
