My husband (68 years old) has been coughing for 2 weeks and cannot stop. In the last 3 days, he has been experiencing hot and cold spells. He does not have a fever. He has been to to PA twice. She said that his lungs were clear and she gave him an azithromycin-250 mg pak on the second visit. Symptoms seem to be getting worse instead of better. Is this something we just have to wait out? I hate to see him suffer.
