My Husband Had AVM In The Lower Spinal Cord And

My husband had AVM in the lower spinal cord and had the embolism procedure done in Dec. 2015. He is still unable to walk without a walker and not able to do things he did before the procedure. The doctor who did the procedure looked at " an after MRI follow up at 4 months" and said it was successful and discharged him. He was told that the recover can take more than a year, but he is regressing. He is 77 yrs. old. Is this normal?
