My Husband Had Surgery On Dec 29th For An Incarcerated

My husband had surgery on dec 29th for an incarcerated hernia , which then lead to a small bowel obstruction.Last week, they tried to remove the foley catherer and had to reisert it, because his bladder yet was not fully functional after the major surgery. They re iserted the catherer on Saturday and then sent him home on Sunday. He did complain and stated the catherer did not feel in place, but the nurse remarked it looked and felt ok. Yesterday, was his first full day home and was not in that much paid. Today, he at one time was in excruitating pain upon urinating. I am so YYYY@YYYY if the does have a urinary track infection, or if something else is going on. He has an appointment tomorrow to remove the 27 stitches from his stomach from the surgery. Is this pain normal still with the catherer. I cannot stand him in pain anymore.
