My husband has been on lantus and metformin for several years now. A Dr. put my husband on Lantus when it first came to try it. He was also given metformin 500mg before the lantus came into the picture. Now they uncreased the metformin to 1000mg twice a day along with the Lantus which has spiked his A1c to 221 this morning. I know from the start that my husband did not need the Lantus and he was used as a rat is used to try out medications to where I cannot trust Dr.'s because they are only out to make money for Big Pharma. Lantus, glipizide plus metformin and simvastatin = ruined health?
