My Husband Has Been Taking Warfarin For 16 Years For

My husband has been taking Warfarin for 16 years for fibrillation of the heart. Dr. Now wants him to change to Xarelto or eliquis. He's doing so well on Warfarin that we are unsure whether to change as a friend passed away after being told he didn't need Warfain any longer - he was 68. My husband is 76 and reasonably fit for his age having been a furniture removalist until 3 years ago.
