My Husband Has Bipolar Depression And Takes Several Psychiatric Medications.
My husband has bipolar depression and takes several psychiatric medications. He also has a never ending nasal drip. Claratin was prescribed by our family doctor. It has slowed to some extent, but I'd like to try Claritin D. The problem is that the pkg. says it should not be taken when using MAO inhibitors. Is the problem with the decongestant aspect of Claritin D? Can I safely switch the medications?
