My Husband Has Had His Aortic Valve Replaced (St. Jude

My husband has had his aortic valve replaced (St. Jude Valve) about 22 years ago. 3 years ago he had a defib/pacemaker put in. He is also diabetic and now take insulin on a daily basis. He is experiencing fluid retention in his ankles and feels bloated in his abdomen area. He's been tested for congestive heart failure, but does not have it. The surgeon has just made an adjustment to his defib/pacemaker and has now increased his Koreg to 80mg. We are seeing a heart failure specialist tomorrow and was wondering what type of questions we should be asking. His cardiologist has informed us that my husband has only shown mild improvement with the defib/pacemaker and now regressing or going backwards. I was wondering what type of questions we should be asking the specialist. Any suggestions?
