My Husband Has Recently Developed Rash Like Areas On His

My husband has recently developed rash like areas on his face. It does not itch or weep. It just feels like sand paper. ah has several respiratory diseases and take quite a few medications. His PCP told us it was roseacea but it doesn't have any of the symptoms. I think he should go to a dermatologist. any comments or advice.?
