My Husband Is A Type 2 Diabetic, Normally Well Controlled.

My husband is a type 2 diabetic, normally well controlled. Tonight he suddenly started breathing funny and would not answer me. I went over to him and realized he was having a hypoglycemic episode. I checked his blood sugar and it was 42. I got him to eat a mini snickers and waited 10 min - I checked again and it had dropped to 40. We don't have any juice in the house or other sugary drinks, so I got him to eat more of the chocolate bars. After 20 min his sugar level checked at 63. He then told me he was tired, laid down and dropped right off to sleep. I can hear him snoring now. Should I be worried that the sugar did not go back above 70 before he fell asleep?
