My Husband Is Having An Extremely Difficult Time Trying To

My husband is having an extremely difficult time trying to breathe lately he doesnt have asthma but the only thing that seems to help him but very temporarily is albuterol inhaler but he goes through them a full one in like 1 day to 2 days he says he thinks its his sinus u can hear it and hes constantly spitting up this nasty stuff out his throat or nasal passages or wherever its coming from idk but ive had to dial 911 and im scared for him what is happening he does smoke cigarettes and has a drug history but is over that but apparently he did drugs illegal ones in abundance when he did them from skoking to snorting and basicslly whatever he could get his hands on please help?
