My Husband Is On The Liver Transplant List In Oklahoma

My husband is on the liver transplant list in Oklahoma City. In the last two years he lost 75 lbs. OKC placed a shunt on his liver a year and a half ago. He has been doing great. A couple of months ago . . . he developed pain in his belly . . . just below his rib cage and pain in his back . . . on both sides just above his waist. He has had a doppler radar twice on his liver . . . all looks well there . . . blood is flowing as it should. He also did gave a urine sample for his Nephrologist along with a blood test. Did not show any sign of kidney infection. His belly has over the last couple of months begun to fill back up with paratanitle (sp) fluid. He has a Paransantisis (sp) scheduled for next Tuesday hoping that will relieve the pain. What more can we do? Are we on the right track? Should we possibly look into other issues with his kidneys?
