My Husband Is Showing Signs Of Deep Depression. He Is

My husband is showing signs of deep depression. He is under care with a cardiologist. However, as his long time wife, best friend and confidant, I wish to help him as much as possible. He respects and admires his physician but that leaves me with "how can I help." I don't know if he has discussed this with his cardiologist but I intuitively say "I sincerely doubt it."
I am in your debt for any suggestions - but do not hold you responsible for anything.
I'm sure you are very busy - and appreciate the slightest hints you can provide.
