My husband just recently noticed a golf ball size mass on his right side of his neck, just under his mandible. He initially went to his physician who treated it with an antibiotic. After about 2 weeks and no change on in size with the antibiotic, he went back. They did an ultrasound. The doctor said that it is a mass and he drew blood. Would the doctor be able to tell from the ultrasound, what kind of mass (benign or malignant?) and if it is attached to tissue ? My husband states that it is hard, non-painful, and doesn't feel like it is movable. These two things do no sound good when reading stuff on the internet. Heko
