My Husband Was In The Hospital Friday For Abnormal Ekg,

My husband was in the hospital friday for abnormal ekg, dka, hyperglycemia, his chemical stress test was good and they gave him 24 units of lantus last night around 6pm before he went home. He was running from doc to doc today. At his pcp his sugar drop to 100 and they gave him 2 bottles of oj and crackers when he left his sugar was 195. Since he has been home he is having trouble staying awake and his sugar is 291 I made him eat at 10pm and he took 3units of humalog. I check his pulse and pressure and oxgen level and they are good. Why is he so tired he is having trouble stay awake and is his stomach is a little upset. Should he go back to the hospital or is this because his sugar on friday was above 600 and now is the 200-300 and his a1c is 11.6 and his body is adjusting to the difference?
