My Husband Went Into The Hospital With Pancreatitis And Went

My husband went into the hospital with pancreatitis and went into alcohol withdrawal which was really bad, very combative and the he became almost unresponsive. He was hospitalized for a month. I was told that he was suffering from alcohol induced dementia. He is definitely not himself.
His neurologist put him on serequel 4X/day. I can really tell when it is time for the next dose as he becomes more and more confused and dis-oriented. We actually started calling it his "smart pill" We moved 1,000 miles and his new doctor said the serequel is not for that purpose. He has dropped his dosage in half and now my husband is more and more confused and disoriented. Yesterday he didn't know how to turn off a burner on the stove. Any ideas.
