Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband who is 62 years old, is napping quite a lot. After we get home from an 8hr day we have dinner then watch TV. I'd say within an hour or less he falls asleep on the couch and takes a "cat nap" which could be longer unless I stir or get out of my lazy it recliner to get a snack. If he should wake up, after awhile he'll fall asleep again Usually I go to bed at 9pm He usually doesn't go to bed til 11pm. We both get up at 5am for work. He is overweight. He could lose 10-20 lbs to probrably have more energy..(He has a desk job so that doesn't help-I work as a letter carrier so I walk 8-10 miles daily so I'm at the other end of the spectrum and I'm also 52 years old. I'm thinking he needs more exercise to give him more energy. He used to go for walks but hasn't in the last few months due to losing his job(but has a new one now) and getting ready for the holidays.
