My Mom Diagonised With Achalasia Cardia. What Would Be The Safest Treatment For It ?
My moms age is 38. she had been diagonised suffering from achalasia cardia after barium swallow, manometry, endoscopy. what would be the safest treatment for a permanent recovery ?
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare magic!
There are various treatment options for achalasia cardia.
These include pneumatic dilatation, botox injection and surgery.
Pneumatic dilatation and botox injection provide only short term relief and she may require repeated sessions.
But surgery provides a long lasting solution.
So I would suggest surgery as the best option for her.
Hi. Welcome to healthcaremagic community forum.
The symptoms of achalasia cardia are treated by medical drugs, non invasive procedure like pneumatic dilatation, botolinum toxin injections and surgical procedures.
The best and permanent method of all this is by surgical treatment. Both open and laproscopic surgeries are available. You can opt for laproscopic surgeries, if cost is not a factor. Though there are risk of perforations, its the best possible solution available.
Hope this message is useful to you.
Hi,
What is the care that a person has to take care after a surgery for achalasia cardia? What will be the disabilities? I usually never get a burp or anything up (except for acid refluxes) which make a hell of my life. But recently, due to indigestion, I had to vomit and it did open up for once. Will I loose this ability after surgery? Nobody has written anything about after affects of surgery.
Regards
Praveen.
