My mother came home two days ago from a skilled nursing facility. She still needs wound care for a spinal laminectomy. The wound appeared clean yesterday when the home nurse cleaned it. No nurse came today. When I tried to clean the wound, there was a green ooze layer on top of the wound and green residue on the bandages. Is this an infection? Should I take here to an emergency room to have the wound treated?
