Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother has CHF. Often has edema in leges and feet. She was in hospital for 30 days in March. For mersa osteomyelitis in toe. She was given a pic line then discovered she had VRE. Found out half her heart is none fictional. She has regurgitation. Also the valve doesn't work. I was told this illness is a circle she will always have edema in the lungs placing strain on heart. I'm hoping she will become strong enough to fcorre t regurgitation and the valve to correct that side of heart. Will that procedger help her C.H.F. Or is she doomed to always have edema in her lungs which in turn effect her kidneys and most likely liver. Please give me the straight truth will she be a candidate for operation or will it just be a matter of time to total organ failure. That you. Very concerned Son and caregiver.
